This is a superb site which sets out details of all sorts of events that happened in the North East of England during the period of the Second World War (1939 to 1945).

Sadly Brian Pears died in 2017 and his website is no longer available so the original link doesn't work.

Luckily the site was captured by web.archive.org  and can now be accessed here:

God bless archive.org ! It would be really, really sad if the wonderful work Brian did was lost, its good to know his legacy lives on.
