Hi Jan,
You are in luck that you find out now just as his last series is on TV.
I have to say he is a huge Lancashire Hero ;D here is a brief biography.

I have to say he was also a supporter of other Lancashire historical projects including the re-opening of the Rochdale Canal system and of coarse his beloved Bolton.
Enjoy !

We loved Fred Dibnah. We were going to watch him give a talk at our local forum, sadly it got cancelled because of his illness. His programmes appear alot on the documentory channells, we watched them all back to back one weekend, right from the very first show. He was a wonderful man. :'(

Just to remind anyone who has been watching, this is the very, last episode. :'( :'(
Fred completes his tour of Britain visiting Loughborough and Crossness Pumping Station, the Slate Museum in North Wales, an early Boat Lift in Cheshire and finally Buckingham Palace to receive his MBE for his services to our Industrial Heritage and Broadcasting.
