Quite a bit to be be working with there ;D ;D
The IGI has some entries of the children.
http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true
Use this Batch number:
C024516 and search Births/Christenings simply for surname: BELL in Lincolnshire
And using FreeBMD to establish Birth Deaths Marriages
and therefore work out which of the children (working away, married etc) should be on the Census somewhere if they're not 'at home'.

ooh ooh !
You have a 'famous rellie!
The IGI pretty much makes it clear Edward BELL & George BELL were siblings, sons of John & Frances - all found on the 1841 / 1851
Edward had an 11 daughter, Sarah in the 1841 - so born abt 1830... and I spotted this:
http://www.curiousfox.com/history/lincolnshire_47.html
Looking for info. about Sarah Bell, dau. of the infamous Neddy Bell( smuggler). She was born Theddlethorpe in 1830 & married Robert Wilyman in Sutton on sea 1849.
(Gotta love the surname of Sarah's husband especially in light of her father's nocturnal pastimes! )
Then:
http://www.smuggling.co.uk/gazetteer_e_14.html
....Ned Bell lived at Bleak House, and is reputed to be buried in the family plot at Theddlethorpe St Helens some three miles north [288]; a direct descendant still lives in Bleak House. ...
(A Gt Gt Nephew of Ned is credited with providing info - possibly the one in modern day Bleak House .)
http://www.louthuk.com/historydetail.php?id=24883&f=Louth
I think "Bleak House" is at nearby Mablethorpe, rather than Theddlethorp - A photo c1955:

Possibly the current owners, or someone who will know:

How exciting! ;D ;D A Smuggler!

my grandmother's name was elizabeth ann bell, who was the daughter of john bell, born 1844.He was the brother of Jason bell, mentioned in the above . I was under the impression that two bell brothers emigrated to Edmonton Alberta,as mule drivers, but have no idea which two or when. I have researched the bell family tree back to 1700,all in the Theddlethorpe and surrounding area. I would appreciate any related info. I am also related to robert wilyman on my grandfather's side.
