Hi there
I wonder if anyone is able to help locate a grave at Danygraig and photograph for me please? It would invovled checking the cemetary register sorry, as the only information I have been able to confirm is that my rellies are buried there but not which part of the cemetary, nor a plot number.
Relatives in question are
Frederick John Crandon - date of burial 06 Sep 1949; BMD Birth registered Q2 1894
wife Rachel Melita [known as Minnie] Crandon, nee Price - BMD Death registered Q1 1982, dob Apr 1882
They have 2 infants who passed 1924 and 1926 regspectively, so there may be mention of these infants in the cemetary records too - names and dates being
Doris Rachel Hannah Crandon - dob 23 Jan 1924 / dod 24 Feb 1924
Florence Beatrice Crandon - dob/ dod same day 04 Feb 1926
Very grateful for any information/photographs.
Cheers,
Lynda

Hi Bev
Happy New Year to you :-)))
Thanks heaps for taking this on ....
You did so much on my behalf last year that I didn't want to impose too quickly again this year! :-)))
I also have a request up for any information about another baby, Emrys G Lawrence, but I have no idea where he might be buried nor where to check for information so any thoughts and guidance on that one would also again be hugely appreciated.
Stay warm!
Cheers
Lynda

Oh dear, you don't have much luck with gravestones. :(
Frederick John and Rachel Melita are in grave 46X and there is no stone, only a vase.
Florence Beatrice is in grave 517L, but it was a "board grave" i.e. where the poorer were buried - it is unmarked, just grass.
Doris Rachel is not in the cemetery register at all.
I'll try and go and have a look over the weekend, depending on the weather and I'll check for Emrys Lawrence as well.
;)
Bev.

thanks Bev -- all this definately proves that we were from the 'downstairs' social stratum rather than 'upstairs' ! ::)
