Hello AMK
My parents waited 10 years for their first child so I would say that it is possible .
Perhaps you could consider trying to find the family on the 1911 census . I understand that there is a section on the census form that allows the person completing the form to state how many children are living and unfortunately those who have died , it may help you decide if you have the right couple .
Also , a look up of the marriage may help re occupations , witnesses etc . Lancs BMD have that couple marrying at St James in Collyhurst .
Good luck
Eric :)

Do you have Ethel's birth certificate by chance? Do you know the ages and occupations of her parents? Also this would give where they were living 1915 which would help. If you don't, i think it might be a good investment to narrow down the fathers 1911/1901.
The marriage at ST. James, Collyhurst June 1/4 1904 is looking your only match i could see that fits the bill.

I presume you have Ethel's birth certificate, (therefore knowing her mum's maiden name).
Looking on 1911 census (free search, tweaking about). There is William MOORE, with a Mary Ann MOORE both age 30, In Manchester, with children Leah 5, William Jr 4, Sarah Alice 3, Edna 1. Married 1904.
I think you need to get that marriage cert!

I managed to find that much info without having paid access to 1911 census, so I do not have the address. Looks like Migky has something there. Does this match with the address you have on the 1915 birth cert?

I suspect that the 14 Charlton street was infact 4 Charlton street and was an address of convenience. What i mean is they put the same address so they would not have banns read in two churches and so not have to donate/pay twice to have them read.

This stand a good chance of been Mary Ann Holt's parents marriage?

Beardoe  Sarah    Chorlton  8c 909
HOLT  John Henry     Chorlton  8c 909

Sep 1/4 1880

But there is a change they married when Sarah was only about 18?
FULLER  Sarah     Manchester  8d 308
HOLT  John Henry     Manchester  8d 308
Dec 1/4 1878 @ St. George.
