Please, has anyone got a directory for 1942 Boston, handy.

looking for a 1st name for someone with the surname Jeffrey living at 7 Princess Street, Boston.

Owing to the war I would be surprised if there is a 1942 directory. Why not try the reference library at Boston? I know they have some pre war directories, and also some prewar electoral registers.

Are you sure the name was Jeffrey, and not Jeffries? When I worked at Boston loco from 1958-1962 the Shedmaster (now deceased, then aged around 60) was W.M.Jeffries, William Martin, I believe during the war he had lived in the Princess St. part of the town.

It turns out it was Fred Jeffery. He did work on the railway as a shunter in 1911 age 32,  came from Grimsby.
