Members of the public do not have access to actual birth records - you have to buy a copy of the birth cert

As you know her parents names and mothers maiden name there is not much additional info on a cert apart from the actual birthdate but if you want to send for a copy you would need to check freebmd for entries - particularly as there are 2 possible spellings

The Merthyr Tydfil and Cardiff registration districts covered Aberdare at that particular time (Pontypridd from  1863) http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/genuki/reg/districts/pontypridd.html

There are a huge number of entries for that name in the Merthyr Tydfil district between 1854-55
