Title: Patrick LANDERS Shop Keeper
Post by: anniebannie1981 on Friday 26 February 10 18:39 GMT (UK)
I have recently found out that a Patrick LANDERS is related in my family tree.  He owned a shop in Dungarvan in Devonshire Square, now known as Grattan Square.  When Patrick died, the shop/pub was left to my great grand aunt Margaret LANDERS who was single.  The pub was then left to my grand uncle Michael LANDERS until he sold the pub.  I'm wondering how can I relate Patrick into my family tree.  I have seached all birth and baptismal records to no success so far.  Any ideas?  The smallest piece of info might help my research.

Thanks   ???

The Waterford County Council website has death records in the family history archive, you might find information there.

Thanks Vasaborg,

I've found exactly what I needed.  Can't believe it has been so easy.  I've been going around in circles.

I've a lot of information already put together, but I would always be welcome to more. Eddie, you've put me in the right direction for aot of the info, but I think I will need to head to Dungarvan and chase up on another bit.

Regards
Anne

Hi

I'm new to all this so would be grateful for any help.

My name is Geoff Landers and my paternal Grandad was John Landers born in North Ormesby,Middlesbrough,North Riding of Yorkshire in or about 1901.My father told me before he died that my Great grandfather and his wife came from Waterford to find work in Teesside in the late 19th century. They were definately Catholics I was told.

Can anyone help me get started trying to trace my family roots in the Waterford area?

Thanks Geoff
