Title: LANKFER/SHARP- Marriage.

I am hoping that someone may be able to locate a Marriage between Martha Sharp/e (B) Pelham Lands & Baptised @ South Kyme 1806. and a John Lankfer.

I have searched the following Free BMD- Lincolnshire Marriages 1700-1837 - IGI and Family Search to no avail... I found Martha in the 1841 UK Census living with her parents John & Mary @ Pelham Lands.- then in 1851 Martha is married to John Lankfer and living in Wisbeck St Mary, Cambridgeshire.. I cannot fin her in 1861- then in 1871 Martha Lankfer is  back in South Kyme & again in 1881 she is visiting her brother Thomas @ Kyme... Martha was listed as an " Annuitant"in 1881.... Martha died  in 1886 and is buried @ All Saints Church Holland Fen.

Can anyone please help me find her Marriage to John Lanker who was born Circa 1819 @ St. Peters Wisbeck. Cambridgeshire.

There is this possibility;
John LANKFER, September 1849, Wisbeach, 14 207
There are 3 males and 2 females on the page including a Martha LAKE
Either Martha Sharpe/e is missing from the page or Martha was married before and widowed.
Searching just Sept 1849 for a Marriage of a Martha, Wisbech is a Martha SLATER, 14 209
May have been mistranscribed???

Thank you for your reply... I saw Martha Lake as well.. Hmmm!! not so sure...

I know that in 1841 Martha Sharp was still living with her elderly parents John & Mary in Pelham Lands Lincolnshire aged 25 years.. but by 1851 she was married & living in Wisbeck Camb aged 36 years...

Thanks again I will look again and see if Martha was married and a Widow by 1851 as I could not even find any children to the Marriage of John Lankfer..

Martha SLATER married John STAINES (see IGI)

Abraham SNUSHALL should not be on the same page as Martha LAKE as his marriage was actually in Holbeach district, so that leaves 2 men and two women.

Hilton PASK married Ann SNUSHALL so Lohn LANKFER married Martha LAKE

29 June 1846 at Holland Fen
William LAKE (son of Wiliam) to Martha SHARPE (dau of John)

Thank you very much Geoff.. Oh boy it's so confusing.. no wonder I can't find anything...LOL....

I will look again in my Lincolnshire Marriage Index and then at the NBI 2nd edition and see if I can tie all of this together..

Again my sincere appreciation for your help.
