Hi,
Just seen your message. I am a descendant of William Hudson, through Thomas. Which of his children are you descended from? I'm a bit confused about Thomas's wife-it says Jemima Hudson on my records but I can only find him marrying a Jane Hart!!! I think I'll put a message on the message boards for some help!!!
If I find anything, I'll let you know.

Hi Burto
If you take a look through Teresa's other threads, Thomas is indeed married to a Jemima by 1871. This looks like a second marriage ...there being a marriage for Thomas Hudson and Jemima Clarke in the Derby district Dec quarter 1870.

Here is the census in case you don't have it.

RG10 3576 42 32
Litchurch Derby
Thomas Hudson head 39 fitter Notts Ruddington
Jemima wife 32 Notts Watnall
Edward F son 12 scholar Nottingham
Mary E dau 11 scholar Nottingham
Herbert H son 6 Derbyshire Derby
Lilly dau 5 Derby
Florence dau 3 Derby

Hi Teresa,
My line is Thomas then Florence. I found information on Jemima, her parents were William born about 1802 and Elizabeth born about 1806 Clarke both from Watnall. They had two other children called William and Mary.

Hi,
What does A L on the census mean before not born Nottingham?

If this is the occupation line before birthplace Burto, then AL is an abbreviation for agricultural labourer (worker on a farm).
