Hello all.
Does anyone know of a layout plan for Dunbarton Cemetery?
I visited a couple of months ago but didn't realise it's so big.
I'm looking for the grave of Lady Lelia Mathilda Samuelson, buried in B. vault, 3.E.
I'm not asking anyone to go look for it, just for someone to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hi
Just checking out Dunbartonshire and found your enquiry.
I have not been to Dumbarton Cemetery but have you tried contacting the Library and I have a good contact dumbarton.local.history[at]west-dunbarton.gov.uk
They might not be able to answer your exact question but will know who you should ask./
Good luck
Tricia.

Hello Tricia
Thank you for this.
I hadn't tried this as I was unsure who to contact.
I'll give it a go.
Many thanks

Hi Kenny,
I'm researching the cause of death of Lady Lelia, just wondering if you had found any relevant information you could share.

Hello John
I believe she died as a result of her service in World War 1. I've been pretty lazy in taking this forward I'm afraid.
I'm trying to find her gravestone so that I can photograph it as part of a project on another web site. I can't recall the address at the moment - I'll post it later for you.
I fully intend visiting again and having another look. I'll give the council a call soon!
Regards

A little bit about the project I'm helping and a little about Lady Leila can be found here: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3929&st=600
Hope this helps. Promise to get back once I've located her grave.
Regards
Kenny
