Title: *COMPLETED* William NAINBY - 1851-1861 census
Post by: cassiar on Tuesday 18 May 10 20:32 BST (UK)
Hi,
Would someone be so kind as to look up William Nainby in the 1851-61 census reports for Brigg please?  He would probably be about 60 yrs. old in 1851 and 70 yrs. old in 1861.  I think he may be a widower.
Thanks,
cassiar

Thank you for your quick work!  I'm sure the 1851 entry is the right one, as the daughter Sarah and the son Thomas, and the births for everyone in Brigg, fit with everything.  Also, they are living in Cadney in 1841, so that fits as well.
I don't think the 1861 entry is right though.
Thanks.

William Mandey-in Wrawby in 1861 appears on 1851 census (and 1871) so doesn't look like he is the same family as I found in 1851 -although i can't find them in 1861

I wonder if he went to live with his daughter Hannah who married Alfred Cranstone in Gainsbro' in 1849? or maybe with his other daughter, Sarah, who married in 1852 to Robert Henry Rawson (altho' they may have gone to Australia)?
I think he died in 1862.
