Title: Collins-Heffernan, Annagh
Post by: 81hendhamvale on Wednesday 30 June 10 21:27 BST (UK)
Can anyone help?

I am trying to find out more about my paternal great great grandparents,
Tim Collins and Ellen Heffernan

They possibly originate from Annagh, Tipperary, sometime from
1800-1850.

As far as I’m aware they had seven children:
William, John, Cornelius, Patrick, Michael, Kathleen, Bridget
and Tim – my great grandfather, who was born 8 June, 1872, in Annagh.

I know the details could hardly be barer, but we all have to start somewhere!

Any help much appreciated.

Found the following children of Timothy Collins and Ellen Heffernan on Beta Search:

Catherine 1866
William 1868
Patrick 1870
Timothy 1872
John 1874

Mostly Terryglass but all Tipperary.

All the above should be on the Civil Register. Missing ones were probably before 1864.

There's a marriage for Tim Collins and Ellen Heffernan in 1862 on the North Tipp section of IFHF, in the RC Parish of Terryglass. It's a pay-per-view site and normally I wouldn't recommend it as it does not contain a complete record of all events in all parishes.

If you can get to the NLI in Dublin you can consult the records on microfilm for free. If you are near an LDS centre you can request the film for a small fee and possibly find other Collins/Heffernan events in the same parish.
