I was just wondering if anyone had any information on a Bowhay/Bowhey family in Devon.
I have it back to William Bowhay born about 1786, died Dec 26 1848 in Stoke Gabriel.
He married Mary Rich (born 1785 Stoke Gabriel, Died July 5th 1859 Totnes union Workhouse, he Father is Samuel Rich, mother is Susanna Mason)
They had 3 Children. George b 1807, William b 1810 and John (1812-1846). My roots are through John. I show John was a Mariner so figure perhaps his father was as well, but do not know.
Any help or information would be appreciated.

A census for 1841 shows William Browhey aged 55 and wife Mary, William is an ag lab. may be them as there is a Thomas Rich age 60 living with them also an ag. lab, they are living in Haytor Village Stoke Gabriel Devon. If this is them they have been transcribed as Beeckey. All of them born in Stoke Gaberiel
