I am looking for Levi Gallier in the 1841 census , In 1851 he is at Chapel St Parish of West Bromwich
Staffordshire . Levi was born abt 1809-1811 Penn Staffordshire . Wife Fanny / Frances born Coleshill Staffs . There are 3 children Elizabeth b 1835 Wolverhampton ,Levi b 1842 Bloxwich & George b 1844 Wolverhampton .Levi senior died in 1869 Walsall .
I can find no trace of Levi , Fanny & Elizabeth before 1851 I would appreciate any information Many thanks Tineke

Although could n't seem to see them on the 1841, i've been on the pilot project on www.familysearch.org and there's some entries if you type gallier in. Entries come up as gallear, i don't know whether you got you got your dates from there, if not it may help to see what church they were baptised at etc as there are certainly entries for what appear to be your family.

Many thanks will give that a try Cheers

Hello I have made a little headway with the Gallier / Gallear family . I contacted Wolverhampton Archives , they could not find the family in 1841 census . However they did find the Baptisms of two older children Joseph in 1831 & Margaret in 1832 .As they are not on the 1851 census with the family we wondered if they had died in childhood .It was suggested I contact Walsall F H Centre which I did . They had no luck with the 1841 census but found the family in 1861 census the name spelled Galeaz .On the census was a grandaughter Harriet Edwards . As the only other daughter was Elizabeth who married John Sims I realised it must be Margaret . I did a lot of record searching & sure enough she married a William Edwards & had 7 children . So still looking and hoping I find them in 1841 Many thanks Tineke
