A number of these marriage are shown on the IGI with the full dates of the marriage.
That type of info can help narrow the search for anybody looking up the marriages for you
If the full date is not known - the quarter in which the marriage took place should always be included in this type of request - again to help narrow the search. That info can be obtained from freebmd www.freebmd.org.uk
Also - have you checked the IGI Pilot website for these marriages as fathers names will be shown - I have just checked it and at least the Ann to Samuel Robinson marriage is shown
http://pilot.familysearch.org
Click on Advanced Search so you can put both names in to search

Thank you CaroleW; I've just checked the Free BMD quarters and added them, and I'll check the IGI tommorrow! Thank you for this advice, as this is my first post of this kind.
Did I put the post in the correct thread? Or should I move it to another?!
Thank you again!
-
To be honest - I would have posted it on the Staffordshire lookup requests board as it would be somebody from that area who would be the likeliest to respond
Would you like me to ask the moderator to move both posts for you - your burial lookup one as well on http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,477506.msg3366478.html#msg3366478

Thank you again; if you could move them to the other board that would be much appreciated! Then at least I will know where to go fo future look-ups! Your help is much appreciated!
-
I will ask the moderator to move them for you

Much appreciated! :)

Hi originQuest
Details on all but one of your marriage requests can be found on the pilot site mentioned above in the thread - it doen't give occupations but father's names are on most of them
5 of the Dudley ones, the 2 Sedgley and the 1 OldSwinford - didn't see the Sampson Fudge one anywhere
This might save someone a bit of time at the record office

Thank you SC; I've updated using the Pilot Record Site! Not sure if I have done it all correct though, as I seem to have missed a few!
-
Hi originQuest
The only one you missed was the top one - Ann to Joseph Whitehouse on 10 Oct 1837
Oldswinford comes under Worcestershire on that site
I left you to update your own list
Good luck

Not sure about Brierley Hill and Oldswinford but all the Dudley and Sedgley registers will be at the Dudley archives.
Dudley. although surrounded by Staffordshire, is actually in Worcestershire.
The archives are however located in Coseley which, like Sedgley, is itself in Staffordshire but falls within the Dudley Registration District and hence is Worcestershire for registration purposes.

Oh these boundaries can be confusing sometimes! ;)
