Post by: Cas (stallc) on Thursday 26 August 10 17:21 BST (UK)
This a PR marriage that I got from FH online..the transcript says it is 2 Dec 1834 at North Curry Somerset.  Copy from a look up. Really dark and in bad shape..maybe can be improved.  ???

I don't know how to lighten to see if it is any better..but would like ops on maiden surname of Charlotte..if there are any sleths out there..wont say yet what is transcribed

Spouse William Squire

Thanks for any imput

Thanks both

The trans reads 'Shoemac'  I agree it has not faired well and is just a copy.

Think I posted on the wrong board for deciphering.

Guess I will eventually have to send for one of the younger children BC.

My interest was renewed having had a contact from this same family and he is no further on either..but he also had 'Shoemac in his tree so accepted the transcription of what was there.

We were questioning it..thought I would throw it out to all you great peeps

Thanks again  :)

Hi

I found this record of their marriage on Familysearch - http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=/eng/search/ancestorsearchresults.asp - doesn't help with your specific query but maybe of use anyway?

Perhaps she was a daughter of the SHARMAN marriage that took place at that church in 1807.

Thanks Geoff...but that has already been ruled out by a visit to North Curry by my relation if the father was William, or so he said...have not checked it personally..but he is well versed in FH and all his info is correct..with mine before we had contact, apart from a few details neither of us had as our relations are brothers (g grandparents) (gg grandparents and so on)

Think the BC of one of the children is needed, althou as said..have not looked at this family in 5 yrs..they go way way back.

Thank you all for trying to help and your imput very appreciated
