I have a 12 Wood Road 1892 Treforest where my grandmother was living ,then in 1891 a 38 Wood Road LLantwit Fardre where my grandfather was living with his mother and sister and in 1894 a Wood Road Pontypridd where my grandfather was married from. Now my greatgrandfather's I am assuming was deceased by 1891 as his wife Mary was down in the census as a widow.living with her son and daughter What I wish to know is where would my greatgrandfather be buried if he was living in these Wood Road ,Treharris, Llantwit Fardre or Pontypridd . Can anyone give me any relevant burial ground to try and find his burial place.Thankyou Alun.

Hi Eirwen,
I would try Glyntaff Cemetery, near Pontypridd first.

Hi Eirwen,
Wood Rd, Treforest (Llantwit Fardre Parish) Nr Pontypridd is about 1/2 mile from Glyntaff Cemetery.
If he was religious, he could have had a Churchyard burial nearby, but that would have been more expensive!
The postal address is: Manager and Registrar, Glyntaff Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Glyntaff, Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taff, CF37 4BE

Wood road, treforest was classed as lantwit vaidre area which went up to pontypridd town before the boundaries changed.
There are several churches in that small area and several graves in Saron Street churchyard next to Wood Road.
I have interests in that area with the names
BOYCE, WRENCH, SEALEY,WINTLE , MANTLE. FOLLETT.HUNT.
If you are looking for the burial place you can contact rhondda cynon taf area registrars office in pontypridd and they may look for you.
The people at the Glyntaf crematorium are very helpful aswell.
I was there for 3 hourslooking through the books.
