Unfortunately I don't have a date for the marriage - though presume it occurred in St Helier?
Was Clara's mother Sarah BROOKE who md (2nd time) to Francois LE BRUN?

Hi

Thank you for your reply,
I am unsure of the parish they got married in, and yes Sarah Brooke was her mother I have only recently found out she married for a 2nd time to Francis.

From their son Edmund's age in 1841 as 2 yrs I would presume they married c 1837.  St Helier would be the first place and then perhaps St Martin.
If I can find anything I will get back to you. :)

Only scant information again I'm afraid.

Mr Josiah Malin married Clara Betts Young 2nd Dec 1836 at St Helier Church. Their residency was given as St Helier (dwelling).

There was no other information.

Stewart,
Was that transcript from the parish records or from the transcripts?

Hi April

In Jersey we only have Parish records up until 1842 when Civil Registration was introduced. We don't have Bishop's transcripts if that is what you mean.

However the actual Parish Registers are not available for looking up because of their condition and so the Archive has copied everything. It is these copies you look at. They have copied all the available details over.

Thanks Stewart.  Just wanted to check that there wasn't another avenue for potential new information. I am aware that sometimes the parish records are full of wonderful information only some of the time! : :-\
Thanks again.
