Is it possible to look-up a surname (SAUNDERS) born Cheddington between 1785  and 1810 but not living there in 1851.
Any advise /assistance would be most appreciated

Do you have a first name at all?

The only one I can see is George born about 1791 agricultural labourer with wife Mary, 1784, living Corscombe and grand-daughter Elizabeth age 8.

John SAUNDERS b 1791
James SAUNDERS b 1792
Edward SAUNDERS b 1795
William SAUNDERS b 1796
Joseph SAUNDERS b 1798

Hi,

The 1841 census will only show if the person is born in the county or not.  Birthplaces are noted in the later census.


Have you tried a general name search on the DorsetOPC site?

The 1851 census on the Chedington page has 1 Saunders family;  Charles, his wife Kitty, and 5 children.
