Trying to find some trace of George GUNN and Isabel MACINTOSH.
Parents of my gggrandmother Margaret GUNN b 27/11/1807 Dornoch. Sutherland.
On her death cert it gives her father as George GUNN occupation Tailor/master.
I can't seem to find any trace of them and wondered if anyone has any suggestions for me !! Thanks..

Hi Azmara
I can't see any trace of George and Isabel in the early census, may have died by then?
Not sure if you have Margaret's siblings? At least 6 show on IGI.

Thanks for quick answer!! I don't have her siblings so will look on IGI now. Thanks for that.

Im sorry for intruding on your post but I noticed GUNN. Im related to a Gunn but Im not sure who. May I ask what this IGI is?
It might help me on my quest.

Hi GaelLass
IGI is the International Genealogical Index available to search here:
www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true
Scottish entries stop around 1874/5. What period are you trying to search for?

Hi Trish. Thanks for that. This is as far as I could get too......I did see on County Sutherland a "George Gunn aged 57 left Proncy for Toronto onboard 'Symmetry'in 1842 in party of 5.....????
I wonder if anyone can tell me how to find these kind of records, where to look??
This possibly could be him as the age would be about right..(.Margaret's marriage record gives her as living at Proncy in 1835...)
Thank you...Mila :)
