Thank you for your reply I know there are smallmans in thomastown.  What i am looking for is the parents of William G Smallmam born Merthyr Tydfil  1897 _ died 1946, who lived in Thomastown was married to Evelyn Simmonds in Llanelly 1916.

Freebmd has the birth of William George Smallman in 1893 (Dec Q)
Merthyr T volume 11a page 658

The 1916 marriage certificate should provide Father's name and occupation, and the birth certificate will give Mother's name.

I have the following information on Evelyn Simmonds whom Married William Smallman

1911 Census free search Evelyn Simmonds, age 14  in Llantrisant Parish

But it does not tell me where she was born or who her parents were if any can help

As you have already found her in the free index, you can pay to view the original image.
Also you should purchase the marriage certificate to find her Father's name and occupation, otherwise you could trace the wrong family.
