Hi family research 2011. My grandfather and two of his sisters were servants in the Ballylucas farm in the 1911 census. I am trying to find the connection between the Barlow-Clancy and Sheehan family. would like to hear from you. thanks

Hi
Mary barlow was the daughter of Walter and Anne barlow of ballylucas. They had 7 other children I believe. Mary married francis clancy but he passed away in early 1900s. His grave can be found to the right of the church in Screen Village in wexfotd.
Mary and Francis had no children but Mary is believed to have reared her nephew john clancy but he sadly was killed in the 1st World War. She also took into care 3 other children ..sheehan I believe.
The church in ballymurn has a beautiful stain glass window erected by Mary in honour of her parents.
Hooe this helps
Richard Barlow

Townland of Ballylucas is just to the east of Ballymurn, and a bit further north of Castlebridge.

It lies in the Catholic parish of Crossabeg, where records are not exactly plentiful.

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

Mary married francis clancy but he passed away in early 1900s.

This may be his death record.
Frank Clancey died 2 April 1909 at Ballylucas.
