I'd just like to say THANK YOU to all the suggestions for help in tracing my DAVIES.
While I haven't found any living relatives yet (I know they are out there waiting to be found) I have found the burial for Florence and William - and it wasn't where I thought !!
As I had her DC, and her last known address, I called the Cemeteries division, and luckily, they were able to locate the grave number, and who was buried there - they had a Daughter which I knew nothing about too, snd she died aged 2 !
They are buried in Aberfan - the area of the cemetery where all the children are buried after the Aberfan disaster. That definately made me shiver !!
William died in 1944 - so here's another DC to apply for !!
YEAY!! .. and thank you once again.

Hi Welsh Girl,
Thrilled to hear your good news ;D thank goodness for Florence having a slightly different name to most Davies's...I have the usual Elizabeth's and Mary's.
I only have about a choice of thirty death certs for my ggrandmother Mary Davies ::)

That's EXACTLY the same position I was in with Florence's Husband, William. There are a LOT of William Davies's in Merthyr Tydfil! I took pot luck with the DC (that was registered in Pontypridd) and I sort of worked backwards.
