Post by: nwr on Monday 07 February 11 08:35 GMT (UK)
Hi I am offering to do look ups for the Morayshire Roll of Honour

It lists all people who took part in the WWI in Morayshire and it usually names the parents.

Double checked the entry for George everything is correct but dates seem wrong as this would make him only 12 when he joined if you solve this riddle i would be interested to know the answer.

Hi Lovey
Curiousity got the better of me looked at CWGC site found George buried in the commonwealth graves buried at Arras Memorial cemetery France he died 11th April 1917 aged 19 that makes him born 1898.
William is buried at Le Touret Memorial. also found that he was christened in 1896. hope this helps
Loks like the roll of honour got dates wrong for George.

Hi nwr

Hope you don't mind me just pointing out that the Dawsons are not buried at the sites you mentioned.  Both have no known graves and so are commemorated by name on panels at the memorials.
