Title: 1891/1901 Census - COMPLETED
Post by: SallyCat on Tuesday 08 February 11 19:51 GMT (UK)
I am hoping someone can help me find John and Elizabeth Challis.  I have their 1881 Census details as shown below, but now am trying to find them in 1891/1901 as in 1911 Elizabeth appears to be living with my great grandfather (Henry) and I am hoping to find out if John Challis was his relation, or if it was merely coincidence that they shared the same name.   (I have never been able to find my 'Henry' anywhere, but if I can fit this couple  into the picture, it might help a bit!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

Here is the 1881 info

1881

Challis Row Ystradyfodwg Glamorgan

John Challis 62 - mason; b Chard Town, Somerset
Elizabeth Challis 57 b Llanwyrtyd, Breconshire

Have you actually viewed the 1911 entry?

Everybody has access to the 1911 census - you just have to buy credits to view the entry

You need to refer back to whoever gave you the info

Oh I understand you have to buy credits... I currently don't have the funds to look at all the records I have needed to look at.  Hopefully when we've moved and I have a job again I can do them all.  Shame that the person who gave me the info got it wrong, so thank you for pointing that out for me.

Cheers
