Hi, I am hoping someone will be able to help me? I am trying to find the death certificate of my G. Grandmother Margaret Williams nee Edwards. I know that she died before the 1881 census and her last child was born abt 1879. I may have found a death in 1881 Apr-Jun Swansea Vol 11a, Page 401 which could be her. If anyone could confirm that is the correct death that would be fantastic. Her husband was George Williams and in 1881 he and the children were living at Hill St, Swansea Town. :)

Hello :)
1881 census was on 3rd April so as George was already a Widower it is likely that Margaret had died before the Apr-Jun quarter. There's another possibility in 1881 Jan-Mar quarter
Swansea volume 11a page 462 Margaret Williams age 34
Best bet is to contact Swansea Register Office and specify that she is the wife of George and possible address in Swansea Town. They will let you know if this is the correct death so that you can buy the certificate.
Kind Regards
Morgan

Hi Morgan,
I got in touch with Swansea Registery office but they weren't able to help me but they did suggest that I contact the GRO which I have done and hopefully I should recieve Margaret's death certificate in about 3 weeks.
Thanks for you help :)

As you have many details about Margaret you should have the correct certificate when it arrives :P Strange that Swansea couldn't help as they provided 2 death certificates for me last Autumn :-\
