Hi
It may be that they are both right, in that she may have been married to a Taylor before marrying George Curd. That may put her birth name at Roberts. This would match the info in the 1841 census as follows:
CURD, George M 28 1813 Kent
CURD, Kezia F 32 1809 Kent
TAYLOR, James M 9 1832 Kent
TAYLOR, John M 7 1834 Kent
CURDE, Wm M 3 1838 Kent
CURDE, Susannah F 1 1840 Kent
They are in Sangers Yard in Bromley, Kent
Hope this helps clarify, I am sure someone will find the marriages for you.

There is this birth on freebmd
George Curd
Dec quarter 1842
Bromley 5 59
This would fit with George Curd senior coming from Farnborough.
I can't see a marriage for a George Curd and a Kezia on Freebmd, so it may have been before registration.
If you send for George Curd's (1842) birth certificate this will give you his mother's name.

Hi Again
According to the IGI in Family Search a George Curd married a Kezia Taylor on the 21 AUG 1836 Lee, Kent, England.
A bit more of the puzzle maybe.

From the IGI -
Marrriage of George Curd to Kezia Taylor 21 Aug 1836 at Lee, Kent. (M016505)

;D our posts crossed CCRAIL..

Not a problem,
But can we find a Taylor who married a Kezia Roberts?
CCRAIL
-
No... so if they were already married in 1823 why are the children using Taylor as their surname in the '41, but Curd by '51.. that's a bit of a puzzle, will look for the children's baptism..

I though you had Kezia TAYLOR marrying George CURD in 1836? So Taylor was either her maiden name or name from a previous marriage.
There is a Kezia Roberts born 3 Dec 1803 Crayford baptised 25 Dec . Father John Roberts mother Susannah - IGI submitted entry.

Hi Groom
I found kezia and George on family search married Lee kent 1936 but i was not sure if she the right person as someone had roberts and one other Taylor on tree

From the IGI - baptism for James Taylor 15 April 1832 Bromley, Kent to parents Thomas Taylor and Kezia (C022109) so it appears that Kezia was a widow when she married George Curd. Apologise for the 1823 blip! had a funny five.... the marriage was indeed in 1836 as I (and CCRAIL) had previously posted .. ;D

Looks as if they are both right. All you need to do now is find Kezia Robert's first marriage to Thomas Taylor - must be pre 1832.

Possible death for Thomas Taylor:
Burial 13th December 1835 Thomas Taylor aged 25 St Peter and St Paul Bromley, Kent
If that's him she didn't hang about to remarry. ;D ;D ;D

This could be the marriage:
Thomas Taylor bachelor
Kezia Roberts spinster
5th October 1830
by banns
St George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey
witnesses: John Hall and Mary Ann Carter
Unfortunately it doesn't mention fathers' names.

Hi Jew
Thats great i have to get a cert find out who her parents are
I don't think that will be possible as she was born and married (both times) before civil registration in 1837.
There is a Kezia Roberts born 3 Dec 1803 Crayford baptised 25 Dec . Father John Roberts mother Susannah - IGI submitted entry.
Perhaps someone has access to the parish records and can find this for you.
