Title: Cretingham Parish Registers: REVANS

I have the following unconfirmed data of deaths and births at Cretingham, but without details. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer.  Please pick up any other Revans' you may pick up on the way

William REVANS: d. 1677; and possibly his wife Sarah, d. 1670.

Also the birth of his children:
Ann, b. 1661
Mary, b. 1662
John, b. 1663
Elizabeth, b. 1667
Samuel, b. 1669
Bartholomew, b. 1670

The Suffolk Burial Index records:

William REVANS abode Cretingham buried 13 Aug 1677 Saxted All Saints.

Sorry no record of a Sarah REVANS buried in Saxted/Cretingham or any of the other nearby parishes around 1670.

Thank you very much, Keziah2, every little helps. I'll pursue the births of William and Sarah's children elsewhere. I wish I knew her maiden name!

Taken from Cretingham parish register.

Ann baptised June 3rd 1661
Mary baptised June 8th 1662
John baptised November 15th 1663
Elizabeth baptised February 17th 1667
Samuel baptised June 6th 1669
Bartholomew baptised June 2nd 1670

Their surname varied from Ribbans to Rivans.

I couldn't see any other siblings, nor could I find the marriage of William and Sarah.

Anne--Thank you so much for this list. It accounts for all the siblings I know of, except the first three, all born at Saxtead: Sarah, b. c 1657, Mary (1658-59), William, b/chr. Feb 26 1657. The parents William and Sarah were probably married there.

A bit more about William and Sarah's children.  You eventually got 9.

John b.1663 d.1709 married Ann Bridges (d.1746) in Dallinghoo in 1691.
Elizabeth b.1667 d.1694 Saxtead.
Bartholomew b.1670 married Elizabeth (d.1729 Saxtead).
