david mainwaring married ann davies mar 1873 pontypridd these are davids parents
-
do you know if he married anyone before he married Ann ?
As I have found a 1911 census for him and it states on there that they have only been married 6 years.
thank you for your help

The 1911 census I have found for him on FindMyPast say David is only 37 born 1874 and Ann was born in 1885
on the written census there is no date of year just an age for them both which David is 36 and Ann is 26, do you think they could have put the wrong birth for them both as it is the right census for them as they have their daughter Margaret visiting them?

Hi Debs28, :)
I can't see your David in the 1901 either, but have found the following.
I wondered if his middle name was Llewellyn, as in 1881 it shows Ll .
David Llewellyn Mainwaring born 1874 Pontypridd.
David Llewellyn Mainwaring married in 1899 4 qtr Merthyr Tydfil to either:
Mary Ann Thomas or Mary Ann Davies.
As you found him in the 1911 being only married for six years, is there a possibility he was married before?

I think the 1 married to Mary Ann in 1901 is the same person. The "H" could be "Ll". He's listed as a colliery below ground Mason.

There is a death of Mary Ann Mainwaring age 31 in 1903
