Hi,
I am looking for the death/ burial of David Jones, who died in 1847, aged about 84 years, and his wife Juan, who died sometime after 1841, she was born around 1764.
And also for the death/ burial of their son, John Jones, who died in 1876, aged 69 years. All these family members were involved with the Goppa Calvinistic Methodist Church, near Pontardulias, so I assume they would be buried in this churchyard.
Any help is very much appreciated,
Thanks Matthew

Goppa Welsh Presbyterian church that is now was originally Calvinistic Methodist on Goppa road.

Hi Matthew,
Three of us searched the churchyard this afternoon but there was no sign of David or Juan Jones.
We did, however, find a John Jones with the correct year of death and age, buried with his wife Mary and daughter Elizabeth.
If you PM me with your e-mail address I'll send you the photos.
By the way, if anyone else is planning to search this chuchyard take great care - it's a dangerous one - lots of ups and downs and holes underfoot.

Just a great thing to do for someone.
cheers cardiff :) ;) :D ;D

Thanks cardiff - I'm rarely happier than when searching a graveyard and if I get a successful result for someone I'm chuffed. ;D

I wouldn't call this completed yet ??? - someone may be able to shed more light on David and Juan's burial - and I haven't yet heard from the original poster.

Hi, Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Thankyou everyone for your assistance, especially Bev and team for searching the graveyard and finding John Jones grave. I really did not expect someone to find it for me, so I am very appreciative. I think David Jones was buried in the Goppa graveyard, I suppose his grave is unmarked.
Once again, a very BIG THANKS to Bev!!
