Title: UK BMD new site: DARLINGTON !
Post by: Berlin-Bob on Tuesday 19 October 04 09:25 BST (UK)
A new UK BMD site, Darlington, has just gone online.
http://www.darlington.gov.uk/Living/Register+Office/RegOfficeSearch.htm

I have no idea how good it is, as I am not searching in Durham, but the UK BMD sites are usually pretty good.

Maybe a Durham-searcher could add a review here ?

Another great site, particularly for marriages is:
http//www.durham.gov.uk Marriage records no longer available 2014

It has a link to the other party, and if a female marrying again shows both her names.

Does not cover, South Durham i.e. Stockton, Hartlepool or Northern areas Sunderland & South Shields.

Stockton etc are covered by http://www.teesvalley-indexes.co.uk (http://www.teesvalley-indexes.co.uk)

http://nd.durham.gov.uk/gro/newgro.nsf/search?open&C0776195260426042009$

All the best
