Title: Link: Harton Cemetery South Shields
Post by: janmoore on Sunday 29 January 06 00:18 GMT (UK)
Found this tonight:

www.communigate.co.uk/ne/harton/index.phtml (http://www.communigate.co.uk/ne/harton/index.phtml)

From the website:

HARTON CEMETERY;-
Many of the gravestones at Harton Cemetery in South Shields, Tyne & Wear are
showing signs of weathering so it was decided to produce a photographic
database of the Inscriptions so that they would not be lost completely and
the Inscriptions would thus be available to those researching their family
history.

About the Database
The database recorded here is an index of the names on the Monumental
Inscriptions. Each entry has a unique reference number which relates to a
digital image which can sometimes provide additional information.

Title: Sunderland Cemeteries Index
Post by: zoltan8 on Thursday 19 July 07 17:49 BST (UK)
I have started making an Index of the Cemeteries in Sunderland. I've listed the index on the website www.sunderlandward.co.uk just click on cemetery Index on the left menu bar.
It currently has about half of the Bishopwearmouth Cemetery Index on but am going to be updating soon, and also adding Castletown and St Matthews.
If you see a name on the index then just contact me and I can look it up and give you more information.

Hi there,

I believe my g-g grandfather Thomas Wakefield Parkin was buried in Easington graveyard in 1930. Possibly also his wife, Isabella Parkin - she would have died somtime after 1930 but don't know when.

I'd be very grateful for any pics of their gravestones as I live in the Midlands.

Thanks so much,
Angela
