Hi I am looking for a Thomas A Gratton who may have married a Bessie Kate Brown in 1927 at Wallingford or Aston Tirrold Bessie was born in 1905 at Aston Tirrold Thank you Sandy
-
Hi
the marriage between the Bessie and Thomas is registered in the December Quarter of 1927 at Wallingford.(2c 939)
I cannot find her death but there is a death of a Thomas A Gratton in 1965, aged 69, registered in Wantage, Berkshire assuming he stayed in the area post marriage. It is registered in March quarter of 1965 so to be 69 he must have been born between March quarter 1895 and March quarter 1896.
There is a Thomas Alfred Gratton registered in March quarter 1896 in Eccleshall Bierlow (Yks/derbyshire border) but I dont think that is him as there is a corresponding yorkshire death
If the age is right, he could be picked up on the 1901 census (cant see him yet though!).
Will have a look :)

Sandra,
I can't find a death record for the daughter, so there is a chance she is alive (she would be 83). I'll send a PM.
