 - Reginald Gesling was a signatory on the death certificate of Oscar Wilde!

https://www.familysearch.org/ shows baptisms in Brighton for children of John (or John James) Hayward Gesling and wife Henrietta and also a possible baptism for John James under "Ghislain".

There's also a newspaper record in 1899 for the marriage of Mary Henrietta, elder daughter of Reginald Hayward Gesling, which gives an address for him at that time: 113 Avenue Victor Hugo, Paris  (she married Robert Taylor Rule)

I have a Reginald Gesling as witness on the Jane Ward death certificate in Chatou, August 13th 1871. He married George Arrowsmith, died in 1879 in Paris.

I was expecting the screen with all the Gresling entries (page XIII etc) shown in the left hand column, providing access to 6 items. However, the URL delivered the screen without that "pop up" column, which requires activating the search facility in the right hand column (magnifying glass).

Not sure if below has already been posted (if so, apologies) but from Le Petit Journal, 17 Mar 1915

I only gave a few examples of what can be found in the french or foreign press on Gallica.

On retronews you can find this :
https://www.retronews.fr/search#allTerms=%22reginald%20gesling%22&sort=score&publishedBounds=from&indexedBounds=from&page=1&searchIn=all

Geneanet gives a list of newspapers  articles that may be read with a premium sub (same ones you have for free on Gallica or retronews)
