Hi everyone,
Could someone look-up a marriage in the Parish Register for me please - 1846 John Woolley to Elizabeth Cook, I have either 18th Jan or 22nd Feb, so one date may be one of the Banns.
Also, if its not too much to ask, a batch Baptism 19th Dec 1832 for a Woolley family - John, Henry, Catherine and William.
Many thanks, B

B,
I can't help you with this query but I have a few Wooley/Wolleys from Kegworth in the 16/1700's.
PM me if you think we may be able to link up.

Space Centre…………Ummmmm. …… That’s more than 2/6d to get in there.
Hope that does not clash with the Toy Train Collectors Exhibition at our Church.
1st weekend in November.
Oh goody can I build a fire engine for putting out fires at Plastic Factories ?..... ;D

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the info on the Baptisms, and the entertaining banter ;D
If there were any dates of birth noted in the register would that be included in the data/disc you have or would it only be seen (if there at all), in the actual register?
Thanks,
-
Greeting’s……… “ B”
Sorry no comments included in the details found
But that’s not to say there was not any on the original Image.
Reasons for multiple Baptisms ? …..
I have found in the past is that there was a change of Minister at the Parish Church and he goes on a “ Recruitment Drive” to swell his numbers.
Or the Woolley’s could recently moved into the Parish from else where……
There again I can only see a Jane Woolley ( Widow ) and three of her children
On a “ Removal Order” ( Under Poor Law Courts 1823 )
From Shepshed to Normanton – on - Soar
which is in the same neck of the Woods to Kegworth.
MIKE. …..

Thanks Mike,
I think the parents are most likely John & Hannah (nee Lester) m. 9 Jan 1825, and 4 children between the marriage date and the baptism date seems reasonable to me.

Hi b - will check originals for you in case extra info.
Mike - not so funny!! we live about 2 mins as the crow flies from said plastic factory inferno! luckily we were away until mon night but had messages from our son to say we were in a massive cloud of smoke. got home to find black plastic all over garden and a horrible stench which lasted til wed. some of our friends even nearer have damage to their house and locks corroded!
