Hi
I have hit a brick wall!
Would like to find out who the parents of David Cordwell were?
I dont have his birth year but I have a marriage record from free bmd:
Marriages Dec 1872
Cordwell David Edmonton 3a 203
GARDNER Martha Edmonton 3a 203
Would appreciate any information :)

GARDNER Martha aged 17 and CORDWELL David aged 21 married 20th Oct 1872 Cheshunt Hertfordshire
Bride's Father = Henry GARDNER

So looks like the 1845 Death Reg is for William Snr as Rachael is a Widow by 1851.

So THOS born c 1808 Hatfield, Middlesex on the 1851 Census is Rachel/Williams Son as well as Harriot is their Daughter.
It has just been incorrectly put pob as Middlesex instead of Herts for Thos.
Rachael may have gone back to Herts as there is a Death Reg 1853 in Hatfield.

Williams parents were William Cordwell 1783 - 1845 and Rachel Kent 1783 - 1853.

Really "David" ...................
If you squint you can see that the "rr" is really "vi" and the "ce" is really a "d".
(Compare the "d" to the same in "Cordwell")
