Title: Thomas Glass + Catherine Mitchell

Hi All ,
         Looking for anyone who is connected to this couple from Aberdeen.Thomas Glass , born 1902 in Glasgow , married Catherine Ann Mitchell in Aberdeen in 1925.
 Thomas died in Aberdeen in 1980 and Catherine died there in 1958.
 Thomas was a son of Joseph Glass( Ham Curer) and Janet Rae.
          Hope somebody knows more about this couple,

I do not have a handle on your Thomas Glass although
i have been trying to nail down Glass and Beattie folks for
nigh fifteen years.

My GLASS's stem from Stracathro and Edzell
my Grandfather Victor GLASS hailed from Friockheim.
some of my Glass's had a Glasgow connection.

My BEATTIES stem from Benholm and maybe Dunnottar
but are spread all over what was Angus County.
My Mother Jessie Stewart BEATTIE was born Logie Pert 1907
to Robert BEATTIE and his wife Margaret GORDON.

We may have a common ancestor.

Hello,

I have a Robert Glass (1), shoemaker/journeyman who married Mary Mitchell. Children?? One I know of is Robert, died 1879 aged 67 years. I am descended through this line.

Robert (11) married Jane, daughter of Charles & Jean Dawson.

5 children; Charles, Robert, James, Jane & Alex.

This family was born @ Raws of Noth, near Rhynie; the previous generations having lived in nearby parishes.

Anything look familiar here?

    Hi ,
        There was some Glass family connection in Aberdeen but I am still trying to solve that mystery. All I know for sure is  Joseph Rae Glass + Janet ( Jenny ) Rae married in Glasgow 10 Oct 1900 - moved to Aberdeen between 1905 and 1910 and lived out their lives there -Gt Uncle Joseph died in June 1941 and Gt Aunt Jenny died in Dec 1950.
        Children that I know of were:- Thomas Glass 1902 who married Catherine Mitchell ; Mary Margaret  Glass1904 who married Alexander Geddes ; Samuel : Margaret Rae Glass 1910 may have married James Gibb Neill : Sarah Gillespie Glass 1907 who married Alexander King.
        We may have a connection  - let me know if you find one.

I am related to a Glass Family from Aberdeen. I will have to look up names, but there were about six children. One, William Glass, was my grandfather, born 2/9/1890 I believe. He immigrated to Ontario, Canada along with his parents.  At least one brother went to Australia.
