I wonder if anyone on here can help me with this please?
I am looking for a Marriage for:
Selina REES, born 1st Quarter of 1877 in Swansea, parents Evan and Margaret REES.
On the 1911 Census for Wales she is living in Brynforgan House, Clydach Road, Morriston with her parents and brother.
She is granted probate for her father's effects following his death in 1927, when she is married to Albert William Beddow and living in London.
I have looked for a Marriage between her and Albert Beddow, - sometime between 1911 and 1927, but have been unable to find one.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Cheers, Romilly.

I don't know why its taken me so long to find all of this... ::) ::)
But I've found her death now...
Deaths Mar 1946
Beddow Selina 69yrs Swansea 11a 1071
And so she must have returned to Swansea, possibly following the death of her husband? (I've found a possible Death Entry for him in Glamorgan in 1940).
I can't find any children, - but she must have been in her early 40's when she married...and so possibly never had any. :-\
Thanks for the help, - much appreciated.
She was my Great Aunt, - sister to my Grandmother, and Witness at her wedding.

Hi Romilly :)
I can't find any children, - but she must have been in her early 40's when she married...and so possibly never had any. :-\
Try a search on freebmd with for a birth of Beddow with Rees as mother's maiden name, but tick Phonetic search surnames box. There is one birth at Swansea in September quarter of 1920 which is a possibility if the surname spelling varied (which happens!)
Kind Regards
Morgan

Thanks for the tip Morgan...
I found: September 1920 Beddoe * (Mother's Maiden name Rees) Swansea 11a 2280
It might be worth another look!
Cheers, Romilly :)

It is a possibility I suppose that this person might still be alive at 91yrs, - it hadn't occurred to me, and so apologies.
However, having followed that one through to his Marriage in Swansea in 1955, I have now discounted him...as he remains a BEDDOE, never a BEDDOW.
Romilly.
