Hello,
I am trying to find details of my grandfather Richard Kerby who as far as i know was born & died in Kings Sutton. I have been to the graveyard today but couldn't find his grave. I live on the Isle of Wight so sadly can't keeping going back to keep looking. I am trying to find as much information on my family as possible.
I understand that the Kerby family lived in Kings Sutton for many many years.
All the details i have on my grandfather are as follows...
Name: Richard Kerby
Married to: Lydia Kerby (Possibly linda Kerby)
Children: Charles, Alice, Joan, Jack, Marg & Billy (possibly short for William) They may of also had another child called Alan.
If i remember correctly they used to live near to the church, near a big green.
If anyone can help or has any information on the family please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Can you confirm the spelling? When did Richard & Lydia die?
There is a death in Northants in 1981 for a Lydia Kirby b 1894? Is that her?

I am also a grandson of Richard and Lydia Kerby(nee Frost). I am the eldest son of William Kerby. The Kerby family initially lived close to the station but moved to a newly built council house in the 1920's in Astrop Gardens. Their children Jack and Frank(Charlie), went to live in Oxford. Alice, William and Joan, who died last year aged 98, moved to Kenilworth and Marg to Adderbury. Alan died at about 13 years old. I have two brothers and a sister and several cousins only one is a Kerby(Audrey) daughter of Jack. I have a photograph taken in about 1939 of the whole family in the garden of my aunt Alice which I could scan and send to you when I am back home next week if you would like that. I have written on the back who I think is each person. I have also tried unsucessfully to find the grave but my brother has been there. Let me know if there is any information you would like,I may be able to help. Regards, Roger Kerby.

HI
My name is Eric James Kerby. I am the grandson of Alfred James Kerby, son of George Kerby and Mary Haynes. Our grandfathers would have been brothers.
Just wondered if you might have found information about the family, as we never knew Alfred. Do you know how many relatives are left?
Thanks for your time
