Hi
Can someone please re-check the 1891 census for Canton in Cardiff [RG12/4398/119/96]; my interest is in Albert Jones, lodger, born c.1866, Llanarthney, Carmarthenshire, occupation police constable listed half-way down the list below. Unfortunately I have no details of the dwelling, was it a police station? and if I’m not asking too much I’m curious as to what were the occupations of the others listed? I would appreciate any help.
Samuel Apsee 24
Hubert W Davey 15
Jessie M Davey 20
Caroline Davies 22
William Gill 26
Albert Jones 25
Fanny J S Jones 35
William Jones 31
John Rees 22

Hi, I've just had a look at this image. The address that Albert Jones was living at in 1891 was 66b Cowbridge Road, shown as the Sergents House. The Sergent seems to have a lot of PC's lodging with him .The house prior to 66b was 66a,shown as the County Police Station,Superintendants House. Hope this helps.
