Post by: bcseeker on Friday 21 October 11 22:22 BST (UK)
I am looking for information about the birth of James Fairley b. 1818  in Armagh County.  His parents were James Fairley and Sarah Christiana Scott who I believe were married in the same county.  Any help would b e much appreciated :)

Hi,

Bit of a longshot, but My GGG G/Mother was born about 1819 in Armagh. She was:
Cecilly Fairley, but also recorded as Cecily, Cecelia, Cecilia.
Parents unknown I'm afraid
Have you come across her in your research? If so I would appreciate any details. You are welcome to my research.

Thanks

Chandler

The only other information I have is that he had a brother John who married Margaret Jane McKnight.  The information I have regarding James' place of birth in Armagh come from a daughter's birth certificate.  I also have some references to county Tyrone.

Both brothers moved to New Brunswick Canada

Thanks very much for your reply. Nothing to link them then. More research required!

Thanks Again

Dear Seeker-
I am looking for info on James Fairley born in Armagh in 1790. I cannot find earlier Fairley’s and his son Samuel came to America. A number of Genealogical forums have him incorrectly marrying a Nancy Wilson (b. Nancy Jarret). I wish I could find out his wife’s true name. Probably was Nancy. Let me know if you can help and I will see if any of the Fairley’s I am related to were your Fairley (I could have missed siblings).
Thanks-
Feanor1
