I am wondering if anyone can help me as I live in the USA and google hasn't helped me.
My Father- in -Law, Dr John Wannan Laing died on 21/6/64 at Lansdowne Hospital in Cardiff. An inquest was heard on the 23 and 30th June 1964, as he died from injuries sustained when his car was hit by a lorry.
Would anyone be able to see if there was any mention of this at the time in a local paper?
Does anyone know how long inquest papers are held before they become public?
Many thanks for any help you are able to offer.

Hello Louise :)
Welcome to Rootschat!
Cardiff Coroner's records 1951 - 1977 (Reference: GB 0214 CORC) are held at Cardiff Record Office, so it is worth contacting them to find out the data protection rules.

Hello Louise
I have now been able to go to Cardiff Library and have found a record of the accident verdict in the South Wales Echo.
Do you wish me to print it out for you ? I do not think that I can send you a PM at the
moment as you have not made three postings.
