Title: Parish Church Cd's please.
Post by: Retpara on Tuesday 31 January 12 18:55 GMT (UK)
Hi Rootchatter's,

Would anyone happen to know of a good site that I could possibly purchase a CD on Parish churches from. I am waiting for my Gt Gt Grandfathers marriage certificate to be delivered, which show's his age at 26 putting his date of birth at 1836 and that's all I was told on the telephone was he was married in the Parish Church, Merthyr Tydfil so I am hoping on the certificate it will give me the name of the church, any advise will be grateful.

I usually look at GenUKI for the relevant county, and then Towns and Villages.

Often there is a refernce to what places of worship were in the town.

In most places in Wales, there should be a list of Chapels, rather than/in addition to churches.
