Title: Thomas Streett, b ~1705, emigrated to USA
Post by: JMelchiors on Tuesday 07 February 12 20:48 GMT (UK)
Hello!

I am trying to find information on the English family of one of my ancestors, Thomas Streett.  The only information that I have been able to find here on the American side is that he was born around 1705 or 1710 in England.  He was married in the US (near Baltimore, Maryland) in 1733 to Sarah Feeler.  If anyone can confirm his birth date, his parentage, where he came from, or when he sailed to the US (obviously before 1733), please let me know!  Thank you all for your help!

Jess

Can I suggest you take a look at this website?http://clanwaddell.com/family/getperson.php?personID=I26465&tree=10286

Also, LDS has a Thomas Streett born in 1706 in Stratford Upon Avon, Father -  Charles Streett

That's strange - I've looked at the Clan Waddell website several times, but never saw that information.  Unfortunately, the people listed as Thomas' parents seem to have died 20 years before he was born.  Looks like there is a generation missing.  But I will investigate!  Thanks for the help!

What is LDS?  I searched on FreeREG and cannot find the Thomas Streett you mentioned.

LDS is the website Latter Day Saints or Family Search, which have transcribed lots of BMD records. It can be difficult to negotiate but I have found lots of info on my family from it.
