HI all
I am looking for any help with the brick wall that is my ancestor Caroline Cook.
Date and place of birth - 1813 - 1816, Docking, Norfolk.
Parents - father listed as William Cook, Blacksmith on one her last marriage certificate - I think this is William Cook born about 1789 and mother then possibly Mary Wagg
Cannot find a baptism in the parish although I can find records of all those who are possibly her siblings
Had illegitimate child Eliza Vallance Cook in 1837 - her baptism is in Docking
Married my direct ancestor John Kendall somewhere between 1837 and 1841 - she was living in London by 1841
Died in London May 1891
Really need to try and confirm birth and parentage - I am starting to think she may have been illegitimate. Also, any help with locating a marriage to John Kendall.
Thanks in advance!!

where was John Kendall from, and what kids were with her/them in 1841?

Hi Pauline
John Kendall is another mystery. I think he was from Ashley in Northampton shire. B 1820, D 1848.
2 children that I think are with Caroline Cook - Caroline Hannah b 1841 and John James I think b 1849 after his death.
Caroline appears to have had a 'dalliance' with John Kendalls cousin - James Kirby - and there is a child born in 1851, Mary Ann Kirby Kendall.
Caroline then marries a Thomas Hall in 1858 although he seems to regularly desert her!
Thanks

Hi Cardiff
I have Caroline on all available census records until her death - JOhn Kendall would only have appeared on the 1841.
I am starting to think they didn't marry - perhaps this would indicate either he or she was aready married??
The only marriage record I can find is Caroline Kendall and Thomas Hall ??? :-\

Hi
Irealized you had census info for Caroline. I gave the census 1841/1851 so rootchatters can see who you are talking about , I feel its much easier to track them with that info .
I note that she is a widow on the 1851 census.
You will never know if they did not marry, have to just accept somethings.
cheers cardiff ;)
