Title: Dorothy Nicholls - 1891/1901 census or bapt look up

Hi all,

I am trying to find the birth/bapt  of Dorothy Nicholls who married John Harry Teagle in Mar 1/4 1904 in Cardiff reg. dist.

I believe they lived in Bedlinog/Gelligaer/Merthyr T.  for a few years after their marriage.

I'm hoping SKS can find where she originated from. A search on FreeREG has only found one such entry in Suffolk (for 1887 which is a possibility) but other members tend to think this Dorothy married someone else.

If anyone can assist with census lookups,  it would be very much appreciated.

1911 Census

  Information removed.   Our rules about 1911 are very clear.  Look ups are not allowed.

I can't find a Dorothy Nicholls born in Bury St Edmunds on the 1891 or 1901 census records.
Closest I can find is a Dorothy Nicholls born 1888 in Westleton in Suffolk.  I don't know the area but according to Google Maps, Westleton is about 50 miles from Bury St Edmonds.
No other Dorothy Nicholls of the correct age in the Suffolk area that I have found.

Only Suffolk birth / death I've found is probably the one you refer to in your post....
Dorothy Jessie Nicholls born 12 Aug 1887 Blything, Suffolk -  died 1974 Ipswich.

Blything and Westleton seem to be about 17 miles apart and equidistant from Bury St Edmunds.

As I don't know the area / parishes, I cant comment on the likelihood of whether all these results refer to the same person, or 3 different Dorothys.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help.

On the face of it, the Dorothy you have found born Westleton could have  been
the one but she died in 1974 so that rules her out.

So its back to Suffolk for the search, although FreeREG doesn't show her up there.
