Title: What name is this?

My Grandfather's sister Elizabeth Jones is given in 1901 as a Servant in Hoylake Cheshire.The name of the couple she is with is given as Deerlop on Ancestry-RG13/3387/98/5.

I strongly suspect that the name is other than this as when I did a general search for the Deerlop Surname,only this Census entry came up?

Can't help with the name at the moment but the ref is RG13/3387/98/53  - you missed off the 3

Here's a clip  - it's  Robert's surname!

Thanks gnu,yes I'm having trouble with my keyboard at the moment!Of course I'm loooking for the Surname as the wife of Robert G,another Elizabeth is given as born in Wrexham so I'm just curious who she might be!

Elizabeth the Wife was born Wrexham
Robert was born Edinburgh Scotland.

I know what you mean - this laptop has the odd sticky key and I'm in the Highlands with a slow connection - how lucky I am down there   ::)

Have you traced them backwards? The problem is, if it's a late marriage, Elizabeth could have been married before  :-\

I don't know why you think of it as a late marriage for the Elizabeth A Jones?She was only 25 when she married!

Just noticed her age - I was going by Robert' s - b.c. 1856  ;D

I've found him visiting in Maybole, Ayrshire in 1891 - H of H is a William H Dunlop, b. Ayr circa 1846 - probably a relative.

(This laptop has been difficult since I got it - the keyboard is slightly off to the left so I get daft things like \\\  instead of the shift , etc. etc. and I tend to touch type so .........::)  )

I think the Dunlop name might be an easier choice to look for rather than the Elizabeth A Jones.lol

Yes - I was lucky, no Jones in my direct line until I get back to great grandparents  ;D

There's this one that might be worth investigating - in Chester in 1981

RG12/2866/95/25

Just a thought - a few others as servants  :-\

I did find the entry,thanks gnu!It is possible I suppose that she may have been married before,though there isn't a double entry on UKBMD for the marriage?
