Hi
I am looking for information relating to Albert Kindell who I understand was a London Stockbroker.
He was born approx 1866. Is there anyone with any knowledge of Albert.

Closer look at the 1891 image - the 'months' is reasonably certain, but the number could be anything! So maybe it says 20 months or something and not 2!

I think it says 27 months?
Off to count the months on my fingers 8)

Yep that's 2 years and 3 months-so that sounds about right by census day ;D

Cant see little Albert Oswald in 1901, nor a death for him.
Wonder what happened to him?
Thought he might be at boarding school or something, as not with parents, but no joy in finding him.
There is one (age not too good) with a granparent Ellen Kindell in Poplar - what was granny Kindell's name from 1881, Carol? Can you remember? (I could just look it up, couldnt I?!)
modified to add - Oh silly me, just seen you said parents were JAmes and Caroline.

They're a very stockbrokery sort of family,so maybe he was abroad in 1901?

Liz ,he became Oswald Kingsley in 1934 hence why you can't find a death for him. ;D
He died as Oswald William Kingsley aged 83 in Worthing in March 1972.
He married(under both surnames) in BRighton in Sept 1944, spouse name Caroline F Williamson.

Hello all: I'm trying to trace Oswald William Kingsley's first wife. It would appear that he married Violet Blake or Johns in 1923. Given the two names she used when she married Albert leads me to believe she was the Violet Blake who married to Arthur Baynard Johns in 1917. He emigrated to Canada in 1923 without a wife and I have found Violet and Arthur divorced in 1923 which would leave her free to marry Albert Kindell in 1923. I have also found a notice that a Mrs Bensley (could this be a typo for Kingsley???) left her effects to Oswald Kinglsey her son and her daughter Ida Muriel Harper. I think the Mrs Bensley was Oswald Kinglsey's mother. Does anyone know anything about Violet? The marriage between Arthur and Violet indicates her father James Blake was an engineer but the only professions given in the 1911 census as grocer. Thanks for your help. Peter

Hi Ray: Thanks for the help. Someone else had written to say she has the information I’m looking for. Violet Kindell married Gilbert Lystor in 1958 and died in Hove Sussex in 1960. Isn’t it wonderful how we all work together on this? Thanks. Peter

Hi there, I'm trying to find out a bit about the father of William Charles Kindell who was born in 1848 and was a Publican of the Running Horse, Old Town, Croydon. I can't work out if he had any siblings or who his parents were, I'm just wondering whether there could be a connection to your Albert Kindell?
