Title: graveyards near Geashill and Portnahinch
Post by: bigeb on Sunday 15 April 12 14:52 BST (UK)
hi there,
can anybody tell me which graveyards were used for people living in the townlands closely surrounding the south of Geashill from the early 1800s to early 1900s?

same question for Portnahinch/Garryhinch townlands.

also where are they (if they are not located with the churches and are off the beaten track)?
thank you.
bigEB.

Most people would have been buried in Raheen graveyard, the Church is on the road between Geashill and Portarlington (R419 i think) and the OLD graveyard is across the road from the church itself.
